Helen Degeneres is the New AMerican Idol Judgem

One of the most popular TV chat show hosts in the United States Ellen DeGeneres is now the new judge on TV show "American Idol" and to replace Paula Abdul in the four-person panel when the competition returns for a ninth season in January on the Fox network.

DeGeneres, who has no musical background but says she is an avid fan of the show, told "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest on Thursday that she would be the people's voice on the panel.

"I'm just a fan like everyone else," she told Seacrest in an interview on his Los Angeles morning radio show. "The people choose. Ultimately it comes down to them, not some executive in the music industry. I hope to be that voice."
Fans were divided over the addition of DeGeneres. According to a poll on AOL's pop culture site Popeater.com, just 45 percent of respondents thought DeGeneres was a good replacement for Abdul.

Fringe Season 2 Episodes Premieres September 17

Fringe Season 2 will premiere Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 9:00 PM via Fox network. Olivia returns from her strange journey into the alternate reality and Peter tries to get information about her visit, whilst being unknowingly pursued by a new threat. Walter returns to the lab and prepares for his son's upcoming birthday.

In the May finale, we learned that there's an alternate universe and it's got Spock, the real Peter's birth certificate, and a still-standing World Trade Center. Can't wait to see what's next.

The show has been described as a cross between The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone, and Dark Angel.

Dollhouse Season 2 Set To Start on Monday

Dollhouse Season 2 Episodes premieres this Monday, September 7 starring Eliza Dushku, Harry Lennix, Fran Kranz, Tahmoh Penikett, Enver Gjokaj, Dichen Lachman, Olivia Williams. Despite low ratings in its first season, Dollhouse was renewed for a second season of thirteen episodes.

The series will continue in its 9–10 pm Friday timeslot, with the season premiere scheduled for September 25, 2009. Season 2 of Dollhouse began filming on July 22, 2009, so Fox pushed back Dollhouse's return to afford Whedon & Co. sufficient time to produce enough hours to kick off the season with at least three or four consecutive episodes.
