Shania Twain and Robert Mutt Lange Separated

After 14 years of marriage, Canadian country singer Shania Twain and music producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange have separated according to some published reports.

Her rep Jason Owen confirms in a statement "Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.”

Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, married in December 1993, just six months after meeting. They have a 7-year-old son named Eja D'Angelo.

A new Twain album is expected later this year; Universal Music Group Nashville hasn't said whether or not Lange had a hand in the forthcoming set.
